Kween's Book Klique Author Spotlight with Meesha Turner
Author Meesha
This week in
the Kween’s Book Klique for our author spotlight I had the pleasure of speaking
to the lovely Meesha Turner! And baby did Meesha bring the party out. This Kween
had people coming out to support her and I loved every bit of it. Our
conversation went a little something like this….
Shan: Hey Meesha!
Shan: What name do you write under?
Meesha: Mesha
Shan: Do you have a website? What social
media sites can you be found on? Please include any links.

Shan: How did you get started writing?
Meesha: I’ve been writing since I was
sixteen. Only family and friends read my work. I didn’t become published until
2017 when I entered a contest with the publisher Cash of Lockdown Publications.
I won and my story was featured in his Cum for me Vol 2 series. I was invited
to participate in the third installment of the series and accepted. After entering
a third contest, I didn’t get within the deadline, so I told him not to submit
it. Ultimately, I won that contest but didn’t qualify for the prize. Instead, I
was offered a book contract and accepted.
Shan: Wow that’s cool!! I like how you got
your start! Very different!
Meesha: I needed the right person to give me
a chance. I took it and ran with it.
Shan: How long does it take for you to
write a book?
Meesha: It depends on life. I wrote A Distinguished Thug Stole My Heart Part
1 in 10 days. It took me about a month to complete part 2. For part three it
took damn near 4 months. So, it depends on life and the mood I’m in. I do work
full time as well as writing whenever I can seven days a week.
Shan: Where do you get your ideas?
Meesha: Many of my ideas are from situations
I’ve endured with a little fabrication.
Shan: What is the name of the first book
you ever published? When?
Meesha: A
Distinguished Thug Stole My Heart 11/2017
Sheila (fan): What inspired you to write Love Shouldn’t
Hurt?
Meesha: To be honest I don’t know
Sheila (fan): Lmaooo
Shan: How many books have you published?
Meesha: 7
Sheila (fan): When is part 3 coming out for Love
Shouldn’t Hurt?
Meesha: I’m working on it as we speak. I’m
pushing for next month definitely
Shan: What do you do when you’re not writing?
Meesha: when I’m not writing…I’m sleeping.
There’s not a time that I don’t write.
Sheila: What is your favorite color
Meesha: green. Any color Green
Shan: What do you find hardest about
writing?
Meesha: the hardest thing about writing is
keeping the momentum going for me. Meaning consistency in dropping books. I
have plenty of material, but very little time to complete them.
Shan: What is the most surprising thing
you’ve learned in your writing career?
Meesha: it’s surprising to know that you
guys actually think I’m that damn good
Shan: Who is your favorite author and why?
Meesha: I’m asked this question a lot and I
don’t have a favorite author. I read so many great books that I can’t say who did
it the best.
Sheila: What do you do when the negative
people come at you?
Meesha: LMMFAOOOOO they don’t but I ignore
all negativity. You will see me slip every now and again, but I don’t dwell on
that shyt.
Sheila: I know that’s right ill wind mill
them for you because I can’t fight.
Shan: What is something you want your
readers to know about you?
Meesha: I want readers to know that I put
my all into every book I’ve written. Without them, there wouldn’t be an author
Meesha. I put that in print, Renegade
Boys 2 is dedicated to my readers
Shan: Do you have any goals for this year
pertaining to your writing?
Meesha: I don’t have any goals because its
hard for me to stay on schedule. But I have so many stories that I have books
outline for the entire year.
Shan:
What are your one-click links for your books?

Shan: If you had the opportunity to
recommend a book to a new reader which one would you recommend? Why?
Meesha: The book I would recommend is the
XYZ series. Not because Author KIMILLE is my road dog, but because her talent
is being slept on. Not to mention the series is fire!!
KIMILLE: Awww booski! Thank you!!!
Meesha: You’re welcome
Kween LuLu: What’s your favorite book written by
yourself? Written by someone else?
Meesha: My favorite book is the Renegade
Boys as of right now! I don’t have a favorite book by anyone else. I just love
to read.
Shan: Thank you so much for chatting with
me tonight!
Meesha: Thank you for having me! Yall get
ready to meet them boys for the second time around. Renegade Boys 2 is dropping

Shan: Yasss!!! I am to ready!!
At this point
I ended my conversation with Meesha, but I did open the floor for other Kweens
to as Meesha questions for themselves!
Kween KIMILLE: I would like to know who is your
favorite out of the characters you’ve written for and why?
Meesha: my favorite character is Rodrigo! I
love the way this nigga have me doing wicked shyt.
Kween KIMILLE: What would you say is your greatest
accomplishment as an author?
Meesha: my greatest accomplishment hasn’t
been seen yet I don’t believe.
Kween KIMILLE: do you feel it’s important as an
author to have a support system?
Meesha: I do believe having a support system
is important. If you don’t have anyone rooting for you, you won’t have the
motivation to keep moving forward.
Kween LuLu: Was it hard writing characters of
the opposite sex?
Meesha: not as hard as I thought it would be.
I’m about that life so it was a piece of cake.
Kween LuLu: Have you thought about joining with
another author to write a book?
Meesha: I want to collaborate with my pen
sister Destiny Skai and Author KIMILLE.
This week’s
Spotlight was very fun but that’s probably because its always fun when talking
to Meesha! I have read Renegade Boys
and Love Shouldn’t Hurt 1 & 2 and
I can not wait for the next books in those series come out. If you haven’t read
a book by this Kween then I highly suggest you check her out! I promise you
will not be disappointed in her pen game. Yes, I am truly a fan!!
