On March 14, 2019 I got the chance to speak with my good friend Ty Robinson in the Kween’s Book Klique during our weekly author spotlight. As always it was fun speaking with Ty. Our conversation went a little like this…

Shan: So where are you from?
Ty: Pennsylvania...Raised between Philly and Harrisburg

Shan: How long have you been writing?
Ty: Since 2009

Shan: What name do you write under?
Ty: Ty Robinson and Ty'son

Shan: Are u self-published or signed?
Ty: Both

Shan: Do you have a website? What social media sites can you be found on?
Ty: No website...and I’m on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter

Shan: How did you get started writing?
Ty: Used to write short stories in Prison

Shan: How long does it take you to write a book?
Ty: three days to week

Shan: Where do you get your ideas?
Ty: Life experiences, and music

Shan: Tell us about your writing style?
Ty: I’m very detailed, visceral, and i tend to write in first person

Shan: What is the name of the first book you ever published? When?
Ty: Cold as Ice, 2015, and I discontinued it, too many rookie mistakes

Shan: How many books do you have published?
Ty: 20 plus

Shan: What do you do when you’re not writing?
Ty: Spend time with my kids, workout, read, work, and play sports games on my Xbox

Shan: What is the most surprising thing that you’ve learned in your writing career?
Ty: How hard it is to build a solid fan base of supporters

Shan: Who is your favorite author? Why?
Ty:  A writer that died a few years ago...Vince Flynn...I modeled my style after his...very detailed

Shan: What is something that you would want your readers to know about you?
Ty: That I value their support and most of the scenarios from my books are from real life experiences

Shan:  Do you have any goals for this year pertaining to your writing?
Ty: To drop more books this year than any single year since I became an author

Shan: If you had the opportunity to recommend one of your books to a new reader which one would you recommend and why?
Ty:
Power & Justice (Ladies of Justice Book 2)
Ty: This one because of the depth and truth I put into it
