Shan: If you could recommend only one of your books to a new reader which would you recommend!? Why?
J. Brinkley: I would say, Afraid to love you. I wrote this book because I realized that alot of women has been sexually abused as a teen and as an adult. This is a topic that people don't want to talk about. The psychological and emotional trauma does effect the victim relationships. It also effect one's self esteem. This book shed light on this topic. I wanted to be the voice for those who haven't built up the courage to speak out against it.
I concluded the spotlight by thanking J. Brinkley for chatting with me. I can honestly say that I enjoyed chatting with him tonight.
